Bear Capture Course

With a large emphasis on safety, our bear capture instructional course is intended for personnel who will be tasked to respond to and solve wildlife conflict calls or tasked to capture bears safely for studies and research purposes. Our system, tools and tactics enable an operator to target and capture bears through the use of humane foot hold snares. Our system allows for the humane live capture of bears, enabling the option to release for research purposes or removal for wildlife management and bear conflict resolution.

Our tactics and tools originate from our first hand experience of responding to situations in both rural and remote areas that require Black Bears or Grizzly Bears be captured humanely; when the safety of both the operators and the wildlife are paramount. Our system provides the wildlife professional and research staff with the methods and tools that go beyond the typical procedures of the wildlife capture community today and results in personnel having more options to reach a positive solution when the usual efforts fail.

Our instructional course reviews the historic tools and procedures of bear capture before familiarizing students with the most modern tactics and up to date tools that will ensure the safety and success of the project at hand.

For wildland bears that are leery of the typical "urban bear" tactics, bears that have experienced the use of drum or culvert traps and bears that have been educated with other foot snare methods and tools, our course provides options for the professional.
