Investigating AND DETERMINING  the depredation of livestock and pets is a pivotal step in much of our work. When responding to a report of dead livestock or pets it is essential that we are correct in determining IF in fact the animal was killed by a predator or not and if so by WHICH predator. We offer this investigation as a service that we provide directly, as counseling to investigators, owners and operators as well as a full course for responders.

This is type of investigation is typically a straight forward process. With that said, often there are circumstances or interference that can complicate the process. Click on the title above for a basic outline of the habits of the major predators and how they kill. This topic is covered in extensive detail during the course through lecture, pictures and hands on exercise when possible. Typically a 1-2 day course. Caution: link contains graphic photographs of livestock and pets.
